Our PTA is a motivated and active body - thanks to the dedication of all our parent volunteers.
Together, we are committed to building an inclusive, supportive school environment while enriching every child’s academic journey. Throughout the year, parents step in as Volunteers, Class Parents, Event Committee members, PTA Officers, and SLT representatives—roles that make a real difference in the life of our school.
The PTA works together with parents, school leaders, and teachers to plan and organize family and community events. These strengthen our community and raise the necessary funds to directly support enrichment classes and teacher’s assistants in classrooms.
Each parent’s participation has a direct impact on the community and the educational offering of PS 33 and benefits each child’s educational experience and growth.

ANNUAL GALA
The PS 33 Gala is our biggest fundraising event of the year and a true celebration of our school community. Parents, teachers, and friends come together for an evening of connection, entertainment, and generosity—all in support of our students. It will be scheduled in May 2026.
PS 33 Chess Team
The PS 33 Chess Team is one of the top elementary school programs in the state, with multiple championship titles and strong finishes at national tournaments. Both our co-ed and all-girls teams showcase incredible talent, teamwork, and perseverance—bringing pride to our school and inspiring future players.

SPRING TALENT SHOW
The PS 33 Talent Show is one of our most beloved annual traditions, showcasing the creativity and talent of our students. With dozens of acts and a full auditorium of cheering family and friends, it’s always a joyful celebration of our community coming together. This year’s taleent show will be held on March 14, 2026.

GET INVOLVED
Get involved! The PS 33 PTA Executive Board relies on committees of parents to help plan and run numerous events and efforts throughout the year. Some committees focus on a particular event or activity; others work on broader efforts to support the school.
