PS 33 Chess Club & Team:
FROM COMPLETE BEGINNERS TO ADVANCING TOURNAMENT PLAYERS, OUR GOAL IS THAT ALL PS 33 CHELSEA PREP PLAYERS CAN EXPERIENCE BOTH THE JOY & SIGNIFICANT SOCIAL/EDUCATIONAL BENEFITS OF LEARNING AND PLAYING CHESS. OUR PS 33 TEAM WILL PREPARE FOR LOCAL, CITY, STATE & NATIONAL COMPETITIONS.
Our in-person programming will match players into groups based on skill, interest level & age. This allows coaches to identify and create the right training environment for each player (complete beginner - advanced competitors).

Impact Coaching Network is working on getting all Chelsea Prep students their very own chess set!
As kids have been learning mostly virtually over the past 9 months- we think this is a great opportunity for them to take what they have been learning virtually and share it physically within their community helping foster greater human interactions.
The sets will be free of charge for the schools and kids so we are hoping you can help spread the word in the parent community to see if anyone wants to support this initiative.
Each PS 33 student has been assigned their own chesskid.com account where they can continue to learn and play. Each child will be required to solve a minimum of 10 (puzzle/lessons/videos/workouts) before they get their set.
We do want these sets earned and we do want kids to have access to educational resources once they get their set where they can continue to learn and play.
