Back to School Movie Night & Bake Sale, Valentine’s Day Bake Sale, and Election Day Bake Sale: Plan and organize our first-ever back-to-school movie night. Schedule volunteers and encourage parents to donate baked goods and/or solicit donations of baked goods from local businesses for bake sales.

Falloween: Plan a festive Halloween-bash with a haunted house, games, concessions, and a dance party! It's one of the most popular events of the school year!

Picture Day Committee: Coordinate with vendor, school, and day-of volunteers on actual picture day. Promote sales to benefit the school!

Glow Run: Coordinate with a vendor to run this event by having kids collect pledges for a fun sprint in November!

Holiday Movie Night: Help plan a fun-filled event with family-friendly activities which includes a movie night in the auditorium for all ages!

Read-a-thon Committee: Organize and supervise this exciting event that promotes reading and literacy as well as fundraising for the school!

Parents’ Night Out: Plan and organize this fairly new and fun event designed for parents to mingle and be merry!

Lunar New Year Celebration Committee: Plan and organize the PS 33 Lunar New Year celebration, including decoration, entertainment, events, etc.

Talent Show: Parents produce this popular and fun event showcasing the talents of PS 33's very own students and teachers! Coordinate student acts for a night of entertainment and community celebration.

Spring Movie Night: Newly added event! Plan a fun-filled event with family-friendly activities, which includes a movie night in the auditorium for all ages to welcome Spring!

Spring Gala: Committee members help plan an adults-only evening of food, dancing, laughter, an online silent auction, and an exciting live auction! Help plan the biggest fundraiser of the year and solicit items for auction. This event is held in the Spring!

Family Game Night Committee: Coordinate with Amanda and teachers to organize a fun-filled evening that brings kids together across grades and classes to play games, eat pizzas, and win prizes through a raffle.

5th Grade Graduation Committee: Help organize graduation events for our 5th graders, including the end-of-year party, graduation ceremonies, and other activities. This year-round committee is organized by 5th-grade parents.

Enrichments: Work with teachers and enrichment providers to bring special programs to classrooms. Enrichments have included music, dance, architecture, chess, and many more.

Yearbook Committee: Plan, design, and work with teachers to create a book of highlights from the school year! Collect photos throughout the year from classes and events to create a special memento for everyone!

Field Day: Coordinate with the gym teachers to create a fun-filled day of sports and games during the school day in June!

PTA Website: Manage the PTA website throughout the year.

PTA Instagram: Manage and post photos, flyers, and make announcements of PTA and school events.

Teachers and Staff Appreciation Breakfast: A tradition unique to the PS 33 community! Coordinate with the PTA Membership Secretary and recruit parent volunteers from each grade, in which each grade picks a month to organize a breakfast for teachers and staff.

General Fundraising and Grant Writing Committee: Reach out to our school community, corporations, local businesses, and others to bring needed funds to our school. From coin drives to corporate gifts, the committee seeks to encourage giving at every level in order to build 100% participation in our school community. Finding and applying for new grant opportunities for the school. Works with the principal and teachers to apply for funding grants that support both individual classroom needs as well as broader projects that inspire learning, empower students, and improve our school facilities.

Spiritwear Committee: Coordinate and select designs for PS 33 spirit merchandise. Help promote the sale of merchandise.

Juneteenth Celebration Committee: Plan and organize programs and events for this significant PS 33 Juneteenth celebration in school.
